Fun with a flowerpot..

Henry enjoyed a couple of hours in the garden with Mummy yesterday afternoon and discovered a new fun thing to do, play with a flower pot. It was quite windy so the pot kept rolling away on it's own and he would chase after it.
It kept him amused while I tried to plant some grasses. Trouble was I kept getting distracted by Henry as I just wanted to watch him having fun.

Henry's new friends...

On this afternoons walk we came across these really friendly cows that were very interested in Henry. He stayed really calm and wasn't phased at all by these huge creatures..

Once one came over, they all came over for a "chat" (well that's what it looked like!)

Even this cow making a beeline for Henry and coming so close didn't bother him at all (he was only held back as a precaution!)

My little Spooky has gone..

..and my world doesn’t feel quite as bright and is quieter somehow without my little boy. He has definitely taken a piece of my heart with him.

Spooky had an operation back in November 2008 to remove a large lump from under his ear, within a short amount of time the lump returned. He has been absolutely fine, even when we noticed the new lump becoming a little softer a few months ago, he was still just my Spooky. It was only a few weeks ago that he started to lose weight despite eating more than ever. Yesterday Spooky suddenly deteriorated very rapidly and he was put to sleep.

He was a wonderful cheeky little bun who loved to eat, binky across the living room and have cuddles from his Mummy. I will miss him very much!

Soggy Dog

We thought it would be nice to take Henry for a lovely Sunday afternoon walk around our local lake. The weather was a bit cloudy with no forecast for rain so off we went.
Three miles later we all looked a bit like this...

It was that fine drizzly rain that soaks you through and makes your dog go curly!!
Henry went for the sarong look after being towelled down...

Despite the rain we all had a great time. Henry really enjoyed himself but was quite pooped out and slept all the way home in the car. 4 miles is the longest walk we have been on for quite some time!
